But that's not all....

We have THREE grand prizes. You as a reader can go to EACH blog and comment with your email address and be entered to win. Yep, you can enter over 100 times!

Now what are those prizes?

1st Grand Prize: A Kindle Fire or Nook Tablet
2nd Grand Prize: A $130 Amazon or B&N Gift Card
3rd Grand Prize: The following Swag Pack!

What is it about Romance that draws you in?
It is that first spark between the hero and heroine?
The journey of the relationship?
Is it the passionate lovemaking?
The Happily Ever After?

For me it's the journey and the feeling that they are mean to be together no matter what. I want the hero and heroine to overcome whatever problems arise. I want to feel their success through the crisis as their relationship grows stronger. The trust that is slowly built between them is the most important part of the romance for me. If I don't really feel their connection to each other, I feel so disappointed.

My first book OPEN HOUSE is coming out October 19th! So be sure to follow my blog by email to be entered in my monthly drawings and to get the information for my new releases first. I'm so glad you hopped by my blog today. I love to connect with readers and writers.

One of my favorite authors is Julianne McLean. I have many favorite authors and books, but it would take too long to share them all. So here are a couple of my favorites by Julianne.

I am giving away a $5 Amazon giftcard to one lucky person who....

1) Shares with me why they like romance &
2) Shares with me one of their favorite authors &
3) ***Leaves their email address***

BONUS
4) If you subscribe to my blog by email you will get your name in the randompicker hat twice for the $5 giftcard! Be sure to tell me you did, so I can check my list ;-)

Happy Writing

I guess I'm a sucker for old fashioned chivalry. When a hero will do anything to protect his heroine and vice versa (without making him look weak and pathetic of course!) ;O)

  8. I'm also a sucker for HEA. And chivalry, I second Madeleine's point about that too.

    I'm a fan of Monique DeVere's books.

  10. I agree about the journey being the best part. I want my heart to beat like the heroine's as she (and I) fall in love with the hero. I want to experience their joy and sometimes their heartbreak as they struggle to get past the conflicts or obstacles which seem to be insurmountable. And of course I want them to have a happy ending!
I don't have any particular favourites, but the best romances I have read recently are by Joanne Stewart and Lynette Sofras.

  11. I like the journey as well. There is nothing better than connecting with two characters and watching their relationship fly. I love being able to fade away and "be" in their stories for a little while. One of my favorite author's is Monica McCarty. I am a huge paranormal romance fan but I also have a soft spot for the Highlands. katiewhite0410@gmail.com

  19. I'm still new-ish to the genre -so I'm reading just about anything that crosses my path. To this point - because I love the fantastical - Diana Gabaldon's series Highlander with Jaime and Claire hits all the buttons on love, romance, settings, action, magical fantasy and even on heart.

and that's what I most like - the journey and which path the writer takes to get there.

  54. Why I like Romance Novels….The reason I like Romance Novels so much is because it is one place where I can be anywhere like England, Scotland, Rome, Ireland, or anywhere in the US. I can also be in any time like 1200’s Scotland, 1500’s England, 1900’s Chicago. I can be anyone like a princess, a servant, a werewolf, a duchess, a vampire, or a lost soul. But no matter what I get the privilege and the experience to overcome many different obstacles and find love. I am a mother of three teenagers as well and there are many days when I need an escape and my heart needs a rest from the trials of being a parent and trying to do what is best for everyone but yourself. I have overcome cancer, loss, and financial problems and Romance Books let my heart soar and feel free. Let me tell you in this world, and during this time where life can have so many struggles it is great that you can be, have, and do so many things to find love and romance and still be yourself!

Laurann Dohner is one of my favorite authors
