voice was thin. Tendrils of the
grey haze wandered toward Aphrodite.
“I would be trapped there until he died.”
“Precisely.”
A wicked grin spread across Aphrodite’s face.
The daemon’s essence pulled
away from her and began circling Stephen once more.
